PG&E DEFORESTATION IN SILICON VALLEY

LIVE TREE DESTROYED FOR TWO POWER POLES MADE OUT OF DEAD TREES

This is a tree located on Pomeroy Avenue at Brookdale Drive in Santa Clara, California...It's obvious this tree could have been trimmed differently; with way less or no tree trimming at all if PG&E would just consider either re-routing electrical cables above ground and/or underground whenever possible to avoid harming our urban forest...

New legislation mandating higher-strength electrical cables around and/or near trees and/or the re-routing of cables above ground and/or underground in certain circumstances should be seriously considered...

TWO DAYS AFTER POSTING THE TREE PHOTO SEEN ABOVE ON FACEBOOK ~ THIS PG&E TRUCK WAS SEEN SUSPICIOUSLY PARKED OUTSIDE MY RESIDENCE ~ THEN SHORTLY AFTER THIS THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE REMOVED A LARGE OLD HERITAGE TREE FROM A NEIGHBORS' YARD (SEE PHOTOS BELOW) WAS THIS PERHAPS RETALIATION FOR SPEAKING OUT?

 IN THE MEANTIME; PALO ALTO HAS STRONG TREE PROTECTION POLICIES

QUESTION: DID THE CITY OF SUNNYVALE REMOVED A TREE THIS SIZE
IN RETALIATION FOR SPEAKING OUT ABOUT PROTECTING OUR URBAN FOREST?

THE RESULT: URBAN DEFORESTATION

THIS IS PARTICULARLY UNACCEPTABLE AND UNFORGIVABLE SINCE IT WAS
DONE AS THE BRAZILIAN RAIN FOREST WAS BURNING IN THE BACKGROUND
AND/OR RIGHT AFTER I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SANTA CLARA PG&E HACK JOB...
